Western Style Beef Jerky
Ingredients
-
1 pound thinly sliced beef (such as sirloin or flank steak)
-
1/2 cup soy sauce
-
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
-
1/4 cup brown sugar
-
1 tablespoon garlic powder
-
1 tablespoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon black pepper
-
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
-
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Directions
-
In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cumin, and paprika.
-
Place the sliced beef in a large resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and marinate the beef in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours
-
Preheat your Kalorik Air Fryer or Kalorik MAXX Air Fryer Oven to the dehydration setting and set the temperature to 175°F.
-
Remove the beef from the marinade and pat it dry with paper towels. Arrange the beef slices in a single layer on the dehydrator rack.
-
Dehydrate the beef jerky for 3 hours, or until it is dry and has reached your desired level of doneness. Check the jerky every hour and flip it over to ensure it dehydrates evenly.
-
Once the jerky is dehydrated, remove it from the Kalorik Air Fryer or Kalorik Air Fryer Oven and let it cool to room temperature. Store the jerky in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 weeks.
-
Note: Depending on the thickness of your beef slices and the humidity level in your Kalorik Air Fryer Oven, it may take longer or shorter than 3 hours to fully dehydrate the jerky. It's a good idea to check the jerky frequently and remove it from the oven when it has reached your desired level of doneness.
I own your air fryer oven all in one. I just wanna make a note that your dehydrate option only goes up to 155 Fahrenheit lol and the recipe for calls for 175F
